abh INGENIEUR-TECHNIK GmbH is an owner-operated medium-sized engineering company based in the port city of Emden, Northern Germany. Founded in 1981, the company is now managed by Dipl.-Ing. Richard Vogt.

The business portfolio of abh INGENIEUR-TECHNIK GmbH includes engineering and services in ship design, offshore wind power, offshore oil and gas, hydrogen and energy technology.

The abh INGENIEUR-TECHNIK GmbH has already planned and implemented more than 500 ships in independent and close cooperation with its customers – from heavy-lift ships to container ships to special ships, as well as offshore structures and various retrofitting projects. Each new design is custom-made and offers solutions which are tailored to the distinct needs of the client.

To gain access to the emerging shipbuilding market in India, abh INGENIEUR-TECHNIK GmbH has entered a cooperation agreement with an Indian partner. Several projects are currently in development.

Based on the know-how gathered from numerous offshore wind power projects, abh INGENIEUR-TECHNIK GmbH pursues the development of innovative concept vehicles and devices to make logistic flows and installation procedures more efficient. One of the company’s focus areas is the foundation work for offshore wind farms; another is the development of an operation and maintenance base for offshore wind farms to create a broad spectrum of uses while maintaining a high level of operational performance capability.

In addition to ship newbuilding, abh INGENIEUR-TECHNIK GmbH also engages in modifications, such as extensions, re-engining, system upgrades (e.g. scrubber and BWM systems), and line optimisation for increased efficiency.
